Proclamation designating Thursday, November 24, "as a day of Thanksgiving and Prayer ... On that day let all Secular work and employment be suspended ... Let families and kindred be reunited ... And in the midst of our worship and enjoyment let us remember the poor, the needy, and the unfortunate."
