Dinner book, 1740-1751.

Consists of detailed daily dinner records in the form of diagrams of tables with the various dishes set out on each kept from Oct. 30, 1740 to Nov. 5, 1741 with sporadic later entries. The average dinner consisted of two courses, involving two table plans for each meal. Several more elaborate meals, generally ball suppers, are also represented. When guests were present names are noted beside the illustrations.
