Pioneer Georgetown, Colo. editor and publisher, Jesse Summer Randall was born to Abraham and Mary A. Randall on April 23, 1848 in Fleming County, Ky. Randall began his career at a young age as a typesetter for numerous newspapers in the Midwest. In 1859, he began work at the Des Moines Tribune. He later moved to Georgetown, Colorado in 1869 and worked for the local paper: the Georgetown Miner.
