Diary, 1917-1918.

A diary kept by Captain William Smith from Madison, Wisconsin, mobilized into service July 15, 1917 in Company G, 127th Infantry Regiment of the 32nd Division, sent to Waco, Texas for training, then Camp Merritt, New Jersey to embark for France. Entries summarize troop movements and actions, illnesses, and casualties until November 15, 1918 when preparing to march into Germany.
