Typewritten carbon of an autobiography by Le Fevre, describing his youth in England near Southampton, brief service in the Marines, sailing to the Caribbean in 1817 and to the United States in 1818, efforts to become a clergyman in the Episcopal Church, his pastorate at Sherbrooke, Canada (1822-1829), changing to the Universalist Church and serving several New York state congregations before moving to Milwaukee, Wis. in 1844, and numerous trips to Europe.

Clement Fall Le Fevre (1797-1882) was born in England, and was ordained in the Anglican Church in 1821. He was married to Mary Clowes in 1822, and was assigned by the "Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts" to a parish in Sherbrooke, Canada in the province of Quebec, where he ministered for seven years.
