Papers of Jones, a farmer and merchant of Rockbridge County, Virginia, containing some correspondence with Robert and Cyrus Hall McCormick, but consisting chiefly of scattered receipts; one ledger for his Lexington store; and two account books, in which he recorded carpentering and hauling for others, his own farm and family expenses, and yields from an apple orchard and his selection of trees. Included are typewritten notes taken from a diary kept by Jones, 1842-1847, relating to members of the McCormick family.
