Records, 1905-1907.

Records focusing on a disagreement between the United Cloth Hat and Cap Makers and the Industrial Workers of the World involving the IWW's granting of a charter to a local that allegedly scabbed against the Cap Makers during a recent strike in New York City. Included is correspondence, depositions, transcripts of a hearing, clippings, and General Secretary Max Zuckerman's report to the sixth convention of the Hat and Cap Makers' union. A small amount of the correspondence concerns the Cap Makers' troubled relations with the Detroit Cap Manufacturing Company.
