Milwaukee District Office records, 1995-2002.

Files, mainly 1998-2002, of the governor's Milwaukee District Office during the administrations of Tommy Thompson and Scott McCallum. Included are files of Eve Marie Hall, a director during the Thompson administration, primarily concerning her work in various child welfare organizations and education initiatives, particularly the Social Development Commission and its Safe & Sound program, the Quality Education Commission, and the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council. Files on some organizations are quite extensive including minutes, financial information, press materials, memoranda, and correspondence. Several files concerning her work with the Department of Health and Social Services may document her career after leaving the district office. The records from the McCallum administration are those of Pilar Gomez, a plaintiff in early school choice litigation, who served as education outreach coordinator in the district office. Her files primarily consist of press materials concerning individual charter, choice, and public schools in Milwaukee.
