Business and miscellaneous records of James Bardon, a Superior (Wis.) pioneer resident and business, civic, and political leader. Includes a letter book (1900-1908) and record book (1894-1930) containing articles of organization, minutes of directors' and stockholders' meetings, and dissolution papers of the Interior Land Association, a corporation largely owned by Bardon and his wife, Emma W., for purposes of land acquisition; an account book (1897-1920) with records of Bardon's investments in stocks, bonds, and notes including references to the Interior Land Association and East Superior Development Company of which Bardon was also part owner; two real estate record books (ca. 1888-1899, ca. 1896-1920) noting land purchased and sold for others by Bardon through his real estate business and for himself, his wife, the Interior Land Association, and Superior Consolidated Land Company which appears to be another Bardon business venture; and miscellaneous business materials.
