Interview with Paul J. Kilday concerning his experiences as an attorney, judge, and former U.S. Congressman from San Antonio from 1939-1949. Kilday discusses neutrality legislation, selective service legislation, Lend-Lease, conscientious objectors, the atomic bomb, demobilization, the Marshall Plan, and the Truman Doctrine. He also talks about the creation of the Atomic Energy Commission, the Unification Act of the Armed Services, the creation of the Department of Defense, and his campaign for Congress against Maury Maverick in 1938.

Paul Joseph Kilday (1900-1968) was born in Sabinal, Texas, and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended St. Mary's College. Kilday was elected representative of the 20th Congressional District of Texas in the U. S. House of Representatives and later served as a judge on the U. S. Court of Military Appeals.
