Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 20 January 1986. Brown talks about her early life in Rock Hill, North Carolina. She describes her courtship and marriage, her religious experiences as a Mormon in a nearly all-black congregation of that Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
