This series consists of the monthly reports generated by the reference staff from 1983 until 1988 when the department began requiring that each division issue a quarterly report. The reports contain statistical and narrative information regarding the number of researchers registered, the materials that were pulled for reference use, and reference-related events and activities in which the staff participated. Most of the reports were prepared by Miriam C. Jones, who supervised the Reference Room.
