Will : Isle of Wight County, Virginia, 1796 September 5.

William Davis of Newport Parish, Isle of Wight County, bequeaths to his wife Caty and children Catherine Matilda, Holland, John, Mary, Sarah, and William all of his slaves, land, and possessions. He names his son-in-law Thomas Whitfield, and friends Copeland Parker and Joseph Cutchin as executors. The will was dated 9 July 1796 and recorded 5 September 1796.
