This collection contains 134 black and white photographs of various commission activities spanning ca.1910-1977. The photographs are 5 by 7 inches, 4 by 5 inches, and 8 by 10 inches. The collection contains photographs of various Alabama trees and landscapes; the T.R. Miller Tree Nursery near Brewton, Ala.; views of the lake, a cabin, and experimental forest burning at Little River State Forest; pine forests in Autauga, Co., Ala.; an aerial view of the District Eleven Headquarters; the state forestry camp; commission employees; forestry equipment; and a state tree nursery. Particularly interesting are the photographs of Alabama trees and landscapes taken ca.1910 by Harlan York of Pennsylvania which also show various persons, houses, and horse drawn carriages.
