The two daybooks contain the records of the daily transactions of the printing office founded by William Parks for the years 1750-1752 and 1764-1766. Records of the sales and distribution of the newspapers are included as is the sale of advertising space. The printing business also functioned as the leading and, probably, the only bookseller in the colony, and among the entries are ones describing the purchase of books, the price paid, and the purchaser.
