The U.S. Schooner Falcon, originally the Mexican gunboat Isabel, was captured at the Port of Tampico, Mexico, on November 14, 1846. The Falcon operated as part of the United States's home squadron in the Gulf of Mexico until the end of the Mexican War. Under the command of Lieutenant John J.
