Dr. Youmans received his M. D. degree from the Johns Hopkins Medical School. He was Professor of Medicine and Director of Post Graduate Instruction at Vanderbilt University, 1927-1946; Dean and Professor of Medicine, University of Illinois, 1946-1950; and, from 1950-1958 he was Dean, Professor of Medicine and Director of Medical Affairs at Vanderbilt.
