Thomas Adams (1730 – 1788) was a politician and businessman from Virginia. One of the Founding Fathers of the United States, he was a delegate of the Continental Congress and signed the Articles of Confederation. Born in New Kent County, Virginia, he attended the common schools. Robert Andrews was born in Cecil County, Md. He graduated from College of Philadelphia (now University of Pennsylvania). Ordained to the Anglican ministry, 1772, he served as a chaplain in the American Revolution. Andrews was professor of moral philosophy, mathematics at the College of William and Mary.
