Lucretia I. Boyd graduated from Penn State University with an A.B. in 1926. From 1928 to 1933, she taught art and music at Millersville State Teachers College. She married James Hamilton Hartzell, a teacher at Thaddeus Stevens Trade School, sometime in the mid-1930s. Mrs. Hartzell died on May 27, 1979. From the description of Lucretia I.
