ALS, 1786 November 26 : Philadelphia, to Dr. Bancroft.

Refers to the writing of his autobiography and voices optimism for the future of the newly independent colonies. "We discover indeed some Errors in our general and particular Constitutions ... But those we shall mend. The little Disorders ... rais'd by a few wrong Heads" alludes to Shays's Rebellion in Massachusetts.
