Article describes small frame house purchased Dec. 14, 1899 by Denver pioneer John Blatnik and wife, Mary. Dwelling was supposedly moved from State Capitol grounds to 4700 Humboldt Street. Photo of house attached. Contemporary evidence has not verified story. State Capitol cornerstone laid 1890 and legislature first met there 1895.

John Anton Blatnik (August 17, 1911 – December 17, 1991) was a United States Congressman from Minnesota. He was a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), which is affiliated with the Democratic Party.
