New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Scrapbook collection, 1880-1889.

The collection contains four scrapbook volumes of newspaper clippings concerning southern New England railroad lines. Information includes schedule changes, accidents, stock sales, attempted acquisitions of the New Haven & Derby by the New York & New England, and complaints about train whistles. The clippings are from: The Hartford Courant, Evening Post, Daily Standard, The Evening Register, The Bulletin, The Evening Telegram, The Danbury News and other New England newspapers. The Shoreliner, vol. 20, issue 3, page 4 reviews the 1887 scrapbook.
