New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Photographic Negative collection, ca. 20th century.

The negatives are primarily views of stations although structures and equipment can often be seen. Most of the photographic negatives have been identified through examination of the pictures. For this reason, station names have been determined but other details, such as the data of the photograph, often have not. Over 30 of the negatives have not been identified although in some cases clues can be found in image. Archives & Special Collections welcomes information concerning the unidentified negatives. In addition to the negatives, the collection contains "positives" of each picture. The positives were made through a digital scanning process and , while they were not photographic quality, they provide an image which will assist researchers who have difficulty "reading" negatives.
