ALS, 1808 August 2, [s.l.], to Governor John Langdon.

Sends his gratification for approbation by " ... a respectable legislature in favor of a measure submitting our fellow citizens to some present sufferings, to preserve them from future & greater ..." This refers to the Embargo Act of 1807. Boxed with his AMS, 1808 August 2, and Langdon's DS, 1808 November 28, both to the New Hampshire legislature.
