Collection contains correspondence, reports, campaign pamphlets, five scrapbooks (chiefly clippings about Carr's political career), speech transcripts, manuscripts and legal documents pertaining to his work on the Trinchera Ranch case, which dealt with water rights; papers also contain manuscripts he wrote on the Maxwell Land Grant, Sangre de Cristo Grant and Cripple Creek; only a few items contain personal information.
