The collection contains a notice [1942?] sent to the residents of the Lawn, Ranges, Randall Hall and Dawson's Row, by Dean Lewis, asking for the establishment of a self-government committee and the drawing up of an agreement which will uphold University of Virginia traditions including the absolute prohibition of undesirable women visitors and noisy parties. The collection also contains a notice stating conditions under which fraternity houses may be operated in the session 1942-1943, including rules concerning women, alcohol, and parties. The collection also contains a self government plan [1942?] for the halls [dormitories] including the establishment of a self government committee, the maintainance of quiet, and regulations concerning women particularly the forbidding of women of questionable character.
