ERA Georgia records, 1973-1982.

The collection consists of records of ERA Georgia, Inc. and its predecessors the Georgia Coalition for the ERA and the Georgia Council for the ERA from 1973-1982. Includes correspondence of three of its coordinators: Dorris Holmes, Beth Schapiro, and Dorothy Tracy; administrative files; membership records; clippings, newsletters, and other printed materials relating to passage of the Equal Rights Amendment; minutes of the Georgia Coalition for the ERA and the Georgia Council for the ERA; and campaign financial disclosure reports (1978-1979) of candidates for the state legislature. Included also are two audiotapes and one videotape (1981-1982) regarding ERA work in Georgia.

ERA Georgia, Inc. was formed in Atlanta (Ga.) in 1973 for the purpose of securing ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) by the Georgia General Assembly.
