Windfalls, or, New thoughts on thinking [videorecording] / Matthew Geller. [1982]

This fragmented, nonlinear narrative examines the subjective nature of memory and the role that storytelling plays in daily life. Windfalls reveals elements of artifice and chance inherent in verbal communication through four first-person tales interwoven in a seemingly random manner: a man in search of a new television set, a saxophonist recounting a jam session, a computer programmer discussing codes, and Geller drawing elaborate diagrams on a blackboard.
