The collection consists of hand colored greeting cards printed at the Cuala Press from ca. 1908-1969. The cards are illustrated, embellished with text, and numbered. The collection includes number 44, containing a poem by W.B. Yeats; number 50, including the "Conaght Toast"; number 51, containing the "Midland Toast"; number 89, including "A Cradle Song" by W.B. Yeats; and number 98, including "The Magi" by W.B. Yeats.

Founded by Elizabeth and Lily Yeats, the Cuala Press was established in 1902. It operated under the name Dun Emer Press until 1908 when the name changed to Cuala Press. Besides providing works for publication, William Butler Yeats also served as both an editor and adviser for the press. After the death of Elizabeth Yeats in 1940, the work was continued under the management of Bertha Georgie Yeats (the wife of W. B. Yeats).
