Six audio tapes of interviews with Harry Downie and Father Francis Guest includes three transcripts of interviews with Harry Downie. The Downie and Guest interviews contain discussions of the Portola Expedition, Father Serra and the Spanish missions-- particularly Mission San Carlos Borromeo (Carmel) which was restored by Harry Downie--as well as events in the life of Harry Downie. Three tapes also include information about the Royal Presidio Chapel, Custom House, and Colton Hall in Monterey.
