Zina Woodhouse, of Lawrenceville, Tioga County, Pa., enlisted 22 August 1862 in Company D, the 141st New York Infantry Regiment, in Elmira, New York. He served as a private in the Union Army throughout the U.S. Civil War, mostly as a drummer but also detailed to the field hospital near Chattanooga, 30 Oct.-26 Nov. 1863.
