Sefer zikaron. 1895-1905.

Minutes of the meetings of the Ohole Shem Society in New York City, 1895-1905. A notebook has minutes of meetings from 1895-1897, then skips until 1903 and continues. Minutes of sessions held in between are on loose pages. The loose pages contain other information on the society as well, including lists of its members, among whom were Bernard Drachman, Herman Rosenthal, Louis Ginzberg, I. Singer, and J.D.Eisenstein. The collection includes an account of a speech Eisenstein made to the society about his Hebrew encyclopedia, Ozar Yisrael. Some of the minutes from November 23, 1897 indicate that MS. 257 is actually part of a paper delivered by Drachman to the society. There are also 13 unrelated postcards, dated 1902-1918, mostly to Louis Lewin and M. Brann, concerning historical material they were working on.
