Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 14 June 1987. McNair describes his early family life and religious experiences in Collins, Mississippi. He tells about his conversion to the Mormon Church and its impact on his present family life. He discusses the experiences of black Mormons and his career as a physician.
