Litigation files reflecting the attorney general's involvement in legal actions pertaining to Minnesota educational institutions and employees. They concern such matters as school district consolidation and reorganization; need for compliance with state licensure requirements and minimum educational standards; school district tax levies and appropriations; schooling for handicapped children; home schooling; and salary, dismissal, tenure, and employee rights issues. One file pertains to the 1967 collapse of the education building at the Minnesota State Fair.

The St. Cloud State Alumni Association was established on April 28, 1881. That year there were two hundred and six graduates of St. Cloud College who were eligible to join the association. The Alumni Association has dedicated itself to keeping graduates of the school connected with their alma mater and also on raising funds for resources and items such as scholarships and memorials.
