Hilda Erickson was born 11 Dec. 1859 in Ledsjo, Sweden and crossed the plains at age six, arriving in Utah in 1866. She married John A. Erickson and lived in the Tooele area most of her life. She was a licensed obstetrician (midwife). She was also served as the local general practitioner, dentist, veterinarian, tailor, teacher, gardener and merchant.
