These records document the nomination and appointment of individuals to serve on the County Board of Equalization. The Board is responsible for assessing property values to determine the amount of tax owed. The series consists of nomination reports, correspondence from the Commissioner of Revenue and the Governor notifying individuals of their appointment, oaths of office, and certificates verifying that the oaths had been filed with the probate judge of the county in which the individual resides.
