Collection primarily includes the photographic work of J Malan Heslop, which comprises 60,601 photographs. Documents his early life and education in northern Utah and California, his military service in Europe during the Second World War, his professional work as a photojournalist, and his personal life and travels. Also includes photographs, biographies, motion picture films, and other materials related to his professional writings and his family history research. Along with the photographic materials from World War II are a number of artifacts acquired by Heslop during his military service. Materials in the collection date from between 1912 and 2004.
