Oral history, 1993.

Stern recalls her early involvement at The Museum of Modern Art as a volunteer in the Film Department, and her subsequent active participation in the Junior Council as Vice Co-Chairman, Co-Chairman, and Honorary Chairman. She was involved in the activities of the Junior Council Art Lending Service. In 1968, Stern joined the International Council. She describes several Council trips and assesses that body's contributions to the Museum. Stern recalls Rene d'Harnoncourt and leadership changes in the early 1970s.
