These papers include a letter dated January 6, 1841 January 6 from Anna Maria Alexander to her mother Jane C. Washington and a copy of the latter's will proved September 17, 1855 in Jefferson County, Virginia. The will disposes of a large quantity of property, including slaves, and Mt. Vernon.
