Thomas Nelson Page (1853-1922) was a lawyer, businessman, diplomat, and man of letters. He practiced law with his kinsman, Thomas Nelson Carter, as international business representative for Minnesota real estate and mining options, and was patron-adviser to Southern writers. After the death of his first wife, he shared his home in Richmond, Va., with his brother, Rosewell, also a widower. His second marriage was to Florence Lathrop Field of Chicago.
