Agrees with [Watts?] criticism of the French language. Sends "The Prompter", the author of which admires Nat Lee [no enclosure]. Has also sent a copy to Voltaire. Recommends Lillo's "The Christian Hero" but disapproves of use of phrases from the Scriptures in plays.
