Autograph collection of important individuals from several centuries. A major part of the collection consists of letters sent to Barton Orville Aylesworth (1860-1933), author, poet, and professor at Drake Universety in Des Moines, Iowa and at Colorado State University, in response to form letters he had written to notable people. The replies were mostly short, autobiographical, and often included lists of publications. The collection has been added to by curators since its arrival at the Harold B. Lee Library.
