Any member may submit to the secretary additional remarks to be included in the minutes and records of committee meetings.

Mayer Jacob "Chic" Hecht (November 30, 1928 – May 15, 2006) was an American businessman and politician. A member of the Republican Party, he served as a U.S. Senator from Nevada from 1983 to 1989 and as U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas from 1989 to 1993.
