Correspondence concerning Lipschütz family. 1906-1915.

Notes and letters on the history of the Lipschütz family. Included in the family is Rabbi Israel Lipschütz who served for a time as rabbi of Cleves and was one of the principal players in the case of the "Cleve get" of 1766. He discussed it in his volume Or Yiśraʼel, published in Cleves in 1770. The notes and correspondence were collected by Louis Lewin. Some letters are addressed to Marcus Brann, and some are signed by Dr. Silberstein, another by David de Sola Pool writing from Berlin in 1906.
