A collection of papers reflecting the family's commercial activities and personal affairs. Included are letters to Martin Gerritsen Van Bergen from family members and business associates, including Sir William Johnson. In addition the collection contains Martin's daybook, 1749-1765, and his memorandum book related to the Sloop Delancey, which are also available on microfilm. Also included are accounts and receipts of Peter Van Bergen, receipts and other papers regarding supplies delivered to the military post at Oswego. The collection also contains various other personal business documents including bonds, deeds and receipts.
