The records document the activities and performance of employees and board members or officers during and after their employment with Consumers' Research. The records also concern employment policies of Consumers' Research. Included are individual employee and board member files. Subjects include confidentiality agreements, employment applications, bonding, vacation policy, labor conditions, persons wishing to write for CR, salaries, staff committees, size of staff, employment statistics, unsolicited manuscripts returned, volunteer workers, and working conditions. The file on F.J. Schlink includes extensive material on his work at Consumers' Research, at the American Standards Association (later American National Standards Institution), and elsewhere.
