Files kept mainly by Water Resources Board Executive Secretary Erling M. Weiberg, documenting organization of the Minnesota watershed district managers. The administrative files include records of the Water Resources Board's annual watershed district managers' meetings (1965-1970), organization of a State Managers Committee to study a course of action to follow in support of their objectives and future needs (1970-1971), and the 1971 incorporation of and subsequent administration of the Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts, Inc. (MAWD). The latter is a non-profit statewide organization of watershed district managers designed to promote the interests of the watershed districts, primarily in a legislative context. Weiberg served as MAWD administrative secretary until 1982; following that, the files were maintained by Allen W. Dornfeld, Valley Branch Watershed District Director and MAWD board member. The files include correspondence, minutes, legislation, by-laws, and related documents.
