Wright family correspondence, 1856-1868.

The collection is a transcription of the Wright family correspondence from 1856 to 1868, during the Civil War. The correspondence is mainly from the three brothers, Joel, James, and Peter to their mother Susan, their sister Fannie and Peter's wife Sarah. Also included in the collection are letters to and from other relatives such as their uncles, aunts, grandmother and cousins. The brothers correspondence consisted of the status of their health and welfare. They also reported back to their family casualties of war and an intinerary relating to where forward future. correspondence to their attention. The letters where written from Camp Lee, Staunton, Virginia, Camp McColluch, near Monterey and Camp Shenandoah in Augusta County, Virginia and Bedford Co., Virginia.
