Promisary Notes, 1776 February 26.

Schuyler borrowed several hundred pounds from twenty six different individuals. The notes state that Schuyler will repay the note in full with gold or silver New York currency on demand. Most notes were repayed on July 10, 1776. The notes contain the signatures of Schuyler and the grantor.

Philip John Schuyler (November 20 [O.S. November 9] 1733 – November 18, 1804) was an American general in the Revolutionary War and a United States Senator from New York.
