ALS and reply : to Major Walter Wolfe, 1758.

An ALS to his uncle with his uncle's draft reply on integral leaf. James Wolfe's letter, from Blackheath, 15 November, concerns chiefly his health, the prospects for his next command, and his father Edward's generosity toward poor relatives. The reply (undated) expresses his uncle's hope that James will not be sent back to Canada and praises Edward Wolfe's generosity.
